Day of Caring 2016 a success!

Thank you United Way Day of Caring volunteers!

We had over 130 volunteers participate in the annual Day of Caring this year. That makes this year our largest Day of Caring yet! Volunteers worked on a number of projects like building garden beds, helping at child care centers, painting and sorting food donations.

In total, volunteers contributed more than 600 hours of their time and talents to United Way of Wapello County and our partners in the community.

Thank you to our sponsors:

for providing the space, food and funding so we could provide breakfast and lunch to our volunteers.

We couldn't make Day of Caring such a fun and memorable day without your support.

Thanks to our local employers who encouraged their teams to participate:

And of course, thank you to our fantastic volunteers! Your work makes a big difference in our community on Day of Caring and throughout the year.

You can see photos of our volunteers in action on our facebook page.

If you participated in the Day of Caring, please tell us about your experience. We have a short survey here.

Thank you for LIVING UNITED.
