The Community Partnerships for Protecting Children (CPPC) is providing Parent Partner Training "Building a Better Future" August 7, 8, and 15 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Half Way House Conference Room, 245 Osage Drive, Ottumwa, IA. Registration is required.
Building a Better Future is a 5 Module workshop designed to train Successfully Reunified Birth Parents to be mentors to Birth Parents who have children in out of home placement. Our main goal is to support and mentor parents who have children in foster care to; increase communication and appropriate self-advocacy with those involved in the Child Protective case, for increased child safety and decreased time in out-of-home placement.
