The State of Girls in Iowa

Today's girls are destined to lead tomorrow's boardrooms and courthouses and run our hospitals and technology start-ups. But a cycle of discouragement is stopping girls from moving forward. They're backing down from their aspirations. They're oting out from activites they once loved. They're even shying away from raising their hands in class.

Is it because girls are less likely to pursue careers in Science, technology, and math? Is it because girls are more likely to bully on another? Or is it because girls struggle to find positive role models in society to look up to? We want to start a conversation to help our girls achieve their dreams.

We all have a role to play in helping girls reach a successgul future. Join the Girls Scouts of Greater Iowa to find out how you can have an impact on girls today, to help them lead for a better tomorrow. When girls succeed, so does society. Together we can get her there.
